So this week’s challenges completely differ in their severity and it’s only Wednesday. But still all count and yes this is probably more of a dear diary than anything,
Monday – Well it was bad enough visiting the consultant and he confirming I wasn’t suitable to be induced as the baby isn’t engaged. I then popped to meet Sharon for coffee and parked in Dunnes in the Beacon, Sandyford. Like most normal people I parked well within the white lines, having reversed in. I returned however an hour later to some numpty who drove into the space next to my driver side and right on the line. Technically nothing wrong but they had gallons of space on the other side. I couldn’t get into my car. There I was 9 months pregnant just staring at my car. Not a chance in hell I was getting in the passenger side and throwing the legs over (mind you that might have started labour!)
Sticking the bump out, why I don’t know as I’m plenty big and there’s no hiding it, I had to ask a man near by to pull my car out of the space so I could get in. That poor guy could barely get in himself. So note to all, don’t part so close to the drivers door.
I’d have felt guilty using a parent and child space, but I should have. That gets me going on another rant. The main advantage of these spaces is their width, to allow parents get children in and out of cars without hitting the car next to them. It’s not their proximity to the shop. God love the next person I see in a parent and child space without a child.
Spent the day trying to keep my temperature down. But my body was not on for that. ‘Oh lets mess with her and go and down for the day. Sure throw in some shivers and sweats while you’re at it, she’ll love that’ – yes my body talks to me! Did I also mention my body has also been teasing me with early labour contractions for two weeks. Didn’t even know that was possibly.
All sorted by the afternoon just in time to peace keep at a WWIII with a toddler who is currently saying NO NO NO to EVERYTHING. Lets just say I’ve totally gotten her on my side with spoons of honey.
So Missy picked out her present for Junior at the weekend, maybe she doesn’t realise so she actually has to give it to him but for now she’s happy with her choice of a pirate toy for his buggy. So today I stopped at Smyths to pick something up for Missy from Junior. The stress of a toy store. So many choices, I just stood there starting, and wanting most of the things 🙂 So here’s where you come in. I ended up coming home with two thing so maybe a public vote might help.
- Doc mcstuffin kit so she can check and fix all her toys
- Doc mcstuffin Duplo set to add to her Sofia the first Duplo which she loves
Who know what tomorrow will bring. Oh wait I’ve a physio appointment……enough said!!!!
